There is always something fun and family-friendly going on in Sherburne County!  This section is to keep you up-to-date on all the fun events going on in your community and throughout Sherburne County and beyond...

Now Playing – Miracle on Christmas Lake - Jessica Lind Peterson’s original holiday comedy is back and sillier than ever! Soap opera star Colin Avery returns to his Minnesota roots to take over Christmas Lake Community Theater after his father dies. Colin's new wife Tess – a city girl with zero tolerance for mosquitoes – comes along for the ride only to find the theater on the verge of bankruptcy. After losing the rights to It’s a Wonderful Life, they race to come up with another play. With piano tuner and Little House fanatic Neil Gunderson, and lizard-loving massage therapist Martha Knutson as the only cast members, hilarity ensues as this unlikely bunch scramble to save the theater. There’s true love and off-key Christmas carols, lutefisk and naked pot bellies, and best of all, unexpected miracles happen.  A ridiculous and heart-warming holiday comedy guaranteed to tickle the funny bone of lutefisk-eating Minnesotans everywhere!  Running November 9 through December 30th at the Yellow Tree Theatre in Osseo.  Click Here for Tickets or call the Box Office at 763-493-8733.

Now Playing - I'm Listening this Christmas - A musical comedy by Patti J. Hynes McCarthy.  Running the small radio station in his home town of Walnut Lake, Minnesota, is a far cry from Jon Michael's dreams of becoming a big time disc jockey in a top Chicago market, especially managing a group of mismatched, and, shall we say, 'unique' radio announcers.  That, along with taking care of a sick parent, is proving too much for him.  Just as he is about to shut down KMAS, make this Christmas his most depressing ever, a young radio enthusiast appears on the scene, infusing a dose of optimism and Christmas cheer into everyone at the station, and the town!  Laughs, a few tears, some great Christmas music, and a deeper message of what 'success' really means, will delight people of all ages in this musical comedy.  Playing Now thru December 31st at Majestic Oaks Golf Club Seasons Dinner Theatre.  Order tickets online at or call 763-755-2140.

Now Playing – Chanhassen Dinner Theatre Presents: Holiday Inn - the new Irving Berlin musical, tells the story of Jim, who leaves the bright lights of show business behind to settle down on his farmhouse in Connecticut. He quickly discovers life isn't the same without a bit of song and dance. Jim's luck takes a spectacular turn when he meets Linda, a spirited schoolteacher with talent to spare. Together they turn the farmhouse into a fabulous inn with dazzling performances to celebrate each holiday from Thanksgiving to the Fourth of July. But when Jim's best friend Ted tries to lure Linda away to be his new dance partner in Hollywood, will Jim be able to salvage his latest chance at love?  Running October 5th thru February 23, 2019 at the Chanhassen Dinner Theatre.  Click Here for Tickets or call the Box Office at 952-934-1525.

When combined, their individual histories make for a very unique ensemble sound. Band members are: Derek Johnson - guitar & lead vocals; Lisa Fuglie - fiddle, mandolin, guitar & lead vocals; Matt Thompson - mandolin, fiddle & harmony vocals; Mark Anderson - bass & bass vocals; and David Robinson - banjo, dobro, harmonica & harmony vocals. Because they met through the music of Bill Monroe, they like to say they had a “Monroe Crossing.”  2pm Matinee and 7:30 show.  For tickets go to  or call the Box Office at 612-314-9199.  Find out about group reservations and rates.

This high-energy quintet has established itself with a stellar live show, a professional look, and good old-fashioned hard work.  In recent years they have performed in 45 states, 2 Canadian provinces and 12 European countries.  With influences ranging from Fats Domino and the Preservation Hall Jazz Band to Aretha Franklin and Tom Waits, the band draws from the last 100 years of American music, and is converting audiences one show at a time. So much more than just a blues act, DATV’s shows are filled with New Orleans charm, Memphis soul swagger, dark theatrical moments that evoke Kurt Weill, and tender gospel passages. Davina’s voice and stage presence defy category in a different way. Davina has been compared to Etta James, Amy Winehouse, Janis Joplin, Billie Holiday and Betty Boop, but comparisons don’t suffice.
